With his recent releases falling flat at the box office, popular Tamil-Telugu actor Srikanth, well-known in Andhra Pradesh for his roles in Okariki Okaru and Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, is pinning all his hopes on his upcoming project Drohi, directed by Sudha Kongara, once an associate of Mani Ratnam, and produced by Gemini Films.
In Drohi, he plays a slum dweller. His co-stars are Vishnu, Poorna and Poonam Bajwa in important roles. The shooting is complete and the post production works are going on. The producers are taking efforts to launch the audio by mid-March. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Srikanth's other projects are Maa, Police Police (simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu), Manavar Dhinam, Nanchil Aiyntham Thisai, Kaveri Thalaivan and Sadhurangam.

Apparently the failure of RASIKKUM SEEMANE has not affected Srikanth much, as he puts in double effort in the upcoming film ‘Drohi’ where he plays a slum dweller. The film is directed by Sudha, once an associate of Mani Ratnam.
With his recent releases falling flat at the box-office, Srikanth is pinning all hope on his upcoming projects.
Well Srikanth has reasons too to be wary as his ambitious film ‘Rasikkum Seemane’ was a turkey. The film had him in the role of a grey-shaded character named Nandu who was a blackmailer.
The film’s shooting is completed and post production works have come to an end. The producers have planned to launch the audio by mid March and the release date is yet to be confirmed.
Srikanth believes that ‘Drohi’ would be a milestone in his career and will add mileage to his flagging career.
Pooja Poonam Bhajwa N Poorna in Drohi
Actress Pooja, white complexioned beauty Poonam Bhajwa and Poorna will play the female lead role sin upcoming film “Drohi”. This action entertainer features actor Srikanth and Vishnu in the lead. Actresses Poonam Bhajwa, Poorna and Pooja will play the female lead roles and the movie is directed by Sudha.
Mano Akkineni is producing this film under the banner of Indira Innovations and the movie is soon to get completed. Music of this film has been composed by Selvaganesh and the title has been fetched from a 1948 release.
