Vaada Overview
Starring: Sundar C, Sheryl Brindo, Vivek

Director: A Venkatesh

Music: D Imman
Sundar C according to his beliefs has readied himself for two of his masala releases, which are Guru Sishyan and Vaada. He believes that commercial cinema is here to stay and it is the main sector which provides entertainment to the majority.
Sundar C’s delayed film Vaada directed by A Venkatesh is ready to hit screens. This action movie loaded with commercial ingredients has Sheryll Brindo opposite Sundar.

The Train heroine Geeta Basra was expected to make her debut in Tamil Cinema with Vaada. This popular model turned actress was busy in another project when Venkatesh approached. So Sheryll Brindo, who made her debut acting with Vijayakanth in Arasangam, bagged the female lead.

Vaada would also feature Vivek, Jayaram, Asish Vidyarthi, Kalabhavan Mani and Sayaji Shinde in prominent roles. A Venkatesh’s last film Vaitheeswaran was an average hit.

Screenplay Entertainment that earlier produced Vishal starrer Sivapathikaaram and Prasanna- Udhayathara starrer Kannum Kannum produces this film.

Sundar C is essaying the role of a person who avenges the person who has spoilt his life. Sheryl Pinto acts as an ardent fan of MGR and she feels her husband Sundar C should also be like him. Both of them dance for the song Enakku Needhan MGR Unakku Naan Dhan Saroja Devi.

Vivek is taking care of the comedy and will imitate Suruli Rajan.
Khushbu would be doing a cameo appearance for a song. D Imman has remixed the yesteryear racy number Ennadi Rakkama from the Sivaji starrer Pattikada Pattanamma.

Sundar C is delivering hits after hits and is the hot star of producers.

Sundar C is back with Guru Sishyan and Vaada
Tamil film industry has up to now been fed on the persona of the hero who is larger-than-life which does not have an ounce of realism to whatever he does. These masala movies have been the highest grosser, but the trend seems to be now changing. The way a hero is perceived by the Tamil crowd is now undergoing a change and the directors seem to like this and are turning more towards realism. Even at the box-office many movies which have portrayed a real-life type of hero has fared quite nicely and this goes to show that the people's mindset is changing.

Although this may be so there are still directors who disagree about this trend and still believe in the magic of the larger-than-life hero. Director Sundar C is one such director, and he is of the opinion that you cannot still write-off the unrealistic hero as many people are in awe of such figures and would miss them on the silver screen. The director also points out that the majority of masses which enjoy Tamil movies live in smaller towns and hamlets and they are the people who still appreciate the masala movies. Realism mostly has a following in the main city of Chennai and the immediate suburbs.
