The multi-faceted and the versatile Sruti Haasan, who hasn’t committed herself to any Tamil films despite making her debut as a heroine in Hindi films last year, would soon be gracing the Tamil screen if rumours floating in Kollywood are any yardstick to go by.
Sruti, who is presently starring in a Telugu film opposite Siddharth, was also rumoured to be doing Simbu’s upcoming film ‘Vaaliban’. Reliable sources say that Sruti may be debuting in Tamil in a film to be produced by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant Movies after the wrap up the Kamal Haasan-Trisha starrer ‘Yaavarum Kelir’ later this year.
In the film, Sruti might be paired opposite Suriya, it is said. A little bird tells that Simbu is still optimistically awaiting Sruti’s nod to star opposite him in his directorial venture ‘Vaaliban’.
We have to wait to see who gets Sruti (in the film) among Suriya and Simbu!
After a sensational hit of ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya’ Simbu has made his mind to give life to his project ‘Vaaliban’ which was left in conceptual stage for a long time.
Though Gautham Menon has announced that his next film will also have Simbu in the role, Simbu has decided to finish his own project as soon as possible. He has also started the ground works for the film and full fletched shooting will be started by the month of April. A still that was released earlier says that the film is about a one side love which comes in everyone life and inspired by her this film is been made and dedicated to her. Nic Arts SS Chakravarthy produces the film and Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music.
"Valiban is getting delayed due to various unavoidable reasons. But Silambarasan has made up his mind to revive the project this time. And he is busy doing ground work for that," sources say.
"The shoot of the film, produced by S S Chakravarthy of NIC Arts, will start by the end of this month. It is not just a love story, but a subject with patriotism in its backdrop," add sources.
To be directed by Simbu himself, the film would have the music score of Yuvan Shankar Raja, who worked earlier with the actor for 'Manmadhan' and 'Vallavan'. Chakravarthy had earlier produced 'Kaalai'.
