Vikranth is back after a brief hiatus.. He was first introduced in the film Karka Kasadara and did couple of movies like Ninaithu Ninaithu Parthen , Muthal Kanave and Nenjathai Killathe.
He is making a comeback with a film titled Goripalayam, which is directed by Rasu Madhuravan. The movie is all about four youths who are succumbed to various negatives aspects in society. How these incidents make an impact in their individual lives forms the rest.
The film casts Harish of 'Mathi Yosi' fame, Ramakrishnan of 'Kungumum Poovum Konji Puravum' fame, Prakash, Raghuvannan, son of actor Manivannan.

Goripalayam is about four youths
Raasu Madhuravan is directing a film titled Goripalayam after Maayandi Kudumbhathar. While speaking about this film, he said,” This film is based on a real incident which happened in Madurai.
Mani who was my assistant died due drugs. Another young man also went astray and lost is life.
Based on this I am making a film about four youths who had gone astray. Pandiya Naadu Theatres is producing this film.Harish, Ramakrishnan, Prakash, Raghuvannan, Jagan, Singam Puli, Ravi Maria, Nanda Periasamy, Mayilsamy and Ilavarasu are starring in this film.
New face Poongodi is the heroine of this film. Sabesh-Murali are composing the music. Bala Bharani is handling the camera. The shooting of the film is to commence in Madurai next month and will be completed during January. I have planned to release the film during the month of April.”
Rasu Madhuravan’s Goripalayam
Luck is knocking the door of ‘Mathiyosi’ hero Harish. This young man has got a role of second hero in director Rasu Madhuravan’s ‘Goripalayam’.
‘Goripalayam’ is the director’s next after his ‘Maayandi Kudumbathaar. ‘Goripalayam’ has ‘Kungumapoovum Konjumpuravum’ fame Ramakrishnan in the lead. Actor-director Manivannan’s son Raghu is also acting in a key role for this one. ‘Goripalayam’ will feature a fresh face called Poongodi as the female lead and apart from her the film will have 3 more fresh faces as heroines. We hear that the director will handle ‘Goripalayam’ as a crime cum family entertainer.
“This project will have element of a thriller a crime story. But the script will have a family as its ground.
When crossing the teen age, 4 friends get themselves indulged in drugs and loose their life, what are the reasons, and what happens to them is all about ‘Goripalayam’. This is a story that I have penned on my personal observation on one of my school mate. I have scripted the story keeping Madurai as its backdrop,” shared the director.
Daredevil fight sequence in Goripalayam
Director Rasu Madhuravan, who shot to fame with Mayandi Kudumbathar, is one busy man these days. Rasu Madhuravan is currently busy with Goripalayam with Vikranth and Poongodi in the lead roles. The film deals with the plight of four youngsters who try to mend their ways but have to overcome the odds stacked against them. In an era where directors turn to acting, four directors rub shoulders with Vikranth: Nandha Periyasamy, Jagannath, Ravi Maria and Singam Puli.
The Goripalayam crew recently shot a daredevil fight sequence near Madurai. Sources say that the director has chosen a never-seen-before location for this sequence.
