Sarath starts Vidiyal
After Jaggubhai, Sarath Kumar will be donning the lead role in a Tamil movie titled Vidiyal, to be prodiuced jointly by Girigujambal Films and Sarath's newly-floated RRR Film Productions.
Talking about the movie, he says, 'Vidiyal, directed by K R Selvaraj, has Sneha and Sruthi in the lead apart from me and has music by Dhina'.
'The film, the story of which features events taking place in the years 1946, 1976 and 2010, is about a person who takes part in the fight for independence. He also has the responsibility of saving his wife from grave danger. I play the role of both the father and the son,' says Sarath.
After Malayalam hit Pazhassi Raja, Sarath is flooded with offers in Malluwood. He is acting in a couple of movies including Christian Brothers with Mohanlal. The president of South Indian Film Artistes Association, is also acting in a Kannada movie besides doing a Hindi project.
Sarath Kumar in dual role in Vidiyal
Sarath Kumar is acting in new film titled Vidiyal. The story for the film begins during the pre independence day and travels to the present era. The incidents in this film happen in 1946, 1976 and 2010.
Sarath Kumar is donning dual roles in this film. He will appear in three getups. Sneha and new face Shruthi are pairing with him. For the first time Sneha is donning the role of a Muslim girl. Radha Ravi, Vaagai Chandrasekar, Charlie, O A K Sundar, Vasu Vikram, Fatima Babu and Kuyilee are also starring in this film.
K R Selvaraj has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and is also directing this film. Dhina is composing the music for the lyrics penned by Piraisudan and Yugabharathy. The shooting of this film commenced in Thirumalai Nayakar Hall at Madurai.
The song sequence beginning with the line Adhi Madura featuring Sarath Kumar and Sneha was shot. The shooting of this film is take place at Kutralam, Ambasamudaram and Tenkasi. This film which is progressing well is being produced Girigujambal Films and Nalini Sundaraman.
Vidiyal is set in pre-independent Era
Sarath Kumar,who has done varied roles, will seen in a dual role as a freedom fighter in Vidiyal.
Set in pre-independent era, he story shifts to the 1970’s and moves on to 2010.The cator will be seen in a dual role and it revolves around the life of freedom fighter. Actress sneha will be paired opposite the actor.
Directed by K Selvaraj, music will be scored by Dhina.the film is produced by by Nalini Sundaraman and co produced by Sarth Kumar’s home banner RRR movies.

Meanwhile, this southern beauty, who is doing well in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, is teaming up with Supreme star Sarathkumar in his upcoming flick Vidiyal directed by K.R. Selvaraj .
Interestingly, Sneha has not paired with Sarathkumar or Rajinikanth in her career till date. The movie depicts various happenings from the pre-independence era till date. Sarathkumar takes on three roles in the movie. Shruthi of Indra Vizha fame is the other heroine.

According to some close sources Sarath Kumar will soon turn a director. Sarath is said to direct the film which would introduce his brother Sudarsan's son Dinesh as the hero. Sarath was initially only to produce the film but now he will also direct it to fulfill the wishes of his dear brother.
